IntroThis is something I knew ages ago but never posted about: This is where an object is on the map but it not really there! It is like a ghost image because you can see it but everything acts as if it is not there. It doesn't even appear on the mini map and you cannot select it. This is quite a useful trick because it allows you to create secret areas in RPG's where you walk through a wall like on the screenshot. How to do it!first you need to go to the editor and click select the unit you want to place. Rotate it until it is at the correct rotation but do not place it. Instead note how many degrees you had to turn it to get to that position. One click with the mousewheel is 22.5 degrees. Then go and insert a trigger effect. Army deploy a spyeye of the player you want it to be. If you are wanting to deploy as a comp, because of the way tings work, the army convert trigger will NOT work because it cannot select the spy eye to convert it! The only way I seem to have got it working is by deploying something else that will convert, then change into a spy eye using army change type and then transform that into the object of your choice that you want to be a phantom. The crash rule of the transform trigger does NOT apply here so feel free to use any unit!
